Today I get the pleasure of sharing with a guest post from author Sofia Tate as the part of her Devoted to Him Blog Tour organized by InkslingerPR. Since I'm extremely excited to share that, let's talk about the book and then get to the guest post. :)
About The Book
For fans of Samantha Young, Sylvia Day, and E. L. James comes the sinfully sexy sequel to Breathless for Him. This emotional, erotic romance continues the story of Davison, a tempting billionaire who'd do anything to protect the woman he's devoted to, Allegra, even if it means losing her . . .
Two months ago, Allegra Orsini nearly lost the man of her dreams. Thankfully Davison Cabot Berkeley, a powerful billionaire who always gets what he wants, had refused to allow anything-or anyone-to come between them. Now back in the arms of the man she loves, Allegra receives an incredible proposal.
Allegra is invited to study under the opera world's most legendary diva. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity . . . but it means moving to Italy for a month. Thirty days without Davison's touch. Allegra isn't sure she can survive it-especially when Davison begins pulling away for reasons she can't figure out. Is the man who has given her more passion and pleasure than she has ever known about to break her heart? Soon Allegra starts to realize that Davison could be guarding a secret even more devastating . . .

Top 5 Romantic Movies Set in New York City
I’m a huge pop culture
junkie, especially when it applies to the movies. I love everything from
big-budget summer popcorn movies to quiet indie films. As much as my city
drives me totally bananas sometimes, I can’t imagine living anyplace else
except New York City for the pure adrenaline shot I get every time I step
outside. So, combining my love of my city, film, and romance, here are my Top 5
favorite romantic movies set in New York City:
1)
“The Way
We Were”-it doesn’t matter how many times I see it, I still choke up every time
I hear Barbra Streisand start humming the opening lines to the classic theme
song that makes me cry like a baby. The last scene in front of the Plaza Hotel
when Katie brushes away a strand of hair off Hubbell’s forehead and tells him
that his girl is lovely, I want to yell at the screen, “Why couldn’t you two
just work things out?” As much as I hate the ending, I completely understand it
and makes me love this movie even more.
2)
“Moonstruck”-
Needless to say, my favorite part of this movie is when Ronny takes Loretta to
the Met to see La Bohème. He’s waiting for her by the fountain in the
plaza in his tuxedo, and she’s all dressed up and looking gorgeous after her
makeover. And then when they’re inside and he reaches for her hand and kisses
it and she has tears in her eyes-GAH! Kills me every time. I can totally relate
to Ronny’s love of opera. I didn’t like opera at first, which is partly because
I always heard it being played in my house growing up due to my mom being an
opera lover. But now I get Met tickets every season, and my favorite opera? La
Bohème, of course,
which makes me cry every time I see it as well (yup, my name is Sofia and I’m a
big crier).
3)
“Broken
English”-this is a quiet indie movie directed by Zoe Cassavetes about a thirtysomething
woman, Nora, played by Parker Posey, who works as a VIP concierge in a
Manhattan boutique hotel. She’s dealing with her own nonexistent love life
while watching her friends get married and have babies. Then she meets a
smoking hot Frenchman played by Melvil Poupaud, who teaches her a lot about
love and patience. I adore this movie because I could totally relate to her
insecurities when it comes to love and relationships. Having a gorgeous
Frenchman interested in you is just a bonus!
4)
“Sex and
the City”-I know this might not be perceived by many as a romantic movie
because of what Carrie and Miranda go through thanks to Big and Steve,
respectively, but it is about relationships. Even more than the relationships
between the couples, I would argue that this is more about the love between
Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha, and Miranda. Big may have built Carrie the closet
of every woman’s dreams, but in the series finale, he also told them while
Carrie was off in Paris with Baryshnikov, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha were
“the loves of her life.”
5)
“Everyone
Says I Love You”-many would say that “Annie Hall” or “Manhattan” were more
classic Woody Allen films that leaned towards the romantic, but I love this
movie. The musical scenes take some getting used to, but you don’t get more New
York than Le Cirque, Harry Winston, or having Itzhak Perlman play at a swanky
charity soiree in your Upper East Side penthouse. The opening montage with
Edward Norton singing to Drew Barrymore as they walk in front of the Metropolitan
Museum of Art, followed by sweeping music showing Manhattan in all of its glory
in the spring with flowers and trees blooming perfectly captures the beauty of
the city, the same as Allen does for Paris in the beginning of “Midnight in
Paris.”
Growing up in Maplewood, New Jersey, Sofia Tate was shy, quiet, and never misbehaved thanks to her Catholic school upbringing. If only the nuns could see her now-an author of contemporary erotic romance novels that have gorgeous Alpha heroes, strong heroines, and loads of naughty words and hot sex! She has an MFA in creative writing from Adelphi University. Sofia has lived in London and Prague. She currently resides in New York City.
