Moonlight In Winter by Samantha Chase $100 Book Blitz!

Today I'm pleased to share with you The Moonlight in Winter Book Blitz, organized by Xpresso Book Tours which includes, not one but two giveaways plus an awesome excerpt from the book. :)

About the Book
Moonlight in Winter Park by Samantha Chase
Publication date: November 24th 2014
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

“Moonlight in Winter Park” – A modern-day Beauty and the Beast style Christmas.

All Hope Cooper needed this year was to have the kind of Christmas her family always cherished. But with her parents gone and her only brother having to work, it doesn’t look like it’s going to work out for her. There’s nothing she can do about her parents, but she most certainly can voice her annoyance at her brother’s boss for making him work out of town all through the holidays.

Beckett James hates the holidays and everything that goes with them. They were important at one time, but now the only thing that mattered was his company and it’s continued growth and anyone who worked for him better feel the same way. If not, then they could find employment elsewhere and good riddance. With a major expansion deal on the line, Beckett needs to focus. What he doesn’t need is Hope to come barging into his mountain retreat demanding that her brother come home immediately due to an emergency.

Suddenly it’s two alone in a snowstorm. Two alone for Christmas. And two alone to fight an attraction that had been there all along. Hope soon begins to realize she may have misjudged Beckett while he comes to see that there really is something special and magical about Christmas. But once they leave their private winter wonderland and return to their normal lives, will the magic still be there?

Cranberry Bluff $50 Book Blast

I'm pleased to participate in and share with you The Cranberry Bluff Book Blast Organized by I'm A Reader, Not A Writer.

Cranberry Bluff
Cranberry Bluff by Deborah Garner

Molly Elliott's quiet life in Tallahassee, Florida, is disrupted when routine errands land her in the wrong place at the wrong time: the middle of a bank robbery. Accused and cleared of the crime, she flees both media attention and mysterious, threatening notes, to move across the country to Cranberry Cove, where she has inherited her Aunt Maggie's bed and breakfast on the Northern California coast. Her new beginning is peaceful - that is, until five guests show up at the inn for a weekend, each with a hidden agenda.

Mix together one blushing honeymoon couple, one flamboyant boutique owner, a deadpan traveling salesman, and a charmingly handsome novelist, and there’s more than scones cooking at Cranberry Cottage Bed and Breakfast. As true motives become apparent, will Molly's past come back to haunt her or will she finally be able to leave it behind?

Launch - Intro to the Collection
Christmas, Actually – three holiday stories about three siblings living in Christmas Town, Maine, where tradition has it that a kiss on Christmas Eve in the town square gazebo will lead to wedding bells in the new year!

Christy's Cozy Corners - An Interview with Anna Adams
How was it decided that the story would take place in Christmas Town, Maine?

We were looking for a setting that spoke of the holidays, and I’d lived in Maine in a town that decorated the green for Christmas. I described it, and someone suggested Christmas Town as a name for our fictional village.

Coffee Books & Art - Excerpt
Snowflakes hit the windshield and splayed into star shapes while Bing Crosby crooned his dreams of a white Christmas. Sophie Palmer tried to sing along, but her mind was already racing up the icy interstate to Christmas Town, Maine, where the father of her unborn child now lived.

Save A Horse, Read A Cowboy Event & Giveaway!

sah-wocover

Jessie Evans' DIAMONDS AND DUST releases today and we're celebrating by honoring some of our favorite cowboys! We've got a great giveaway from a ton of authors - check out the details below!

So I thought this release day post was really cool, because in honor of the release of Diamonds & Dust by Jessie Evans, bloggers participating have been asked to talk about their favorite cowboys. Now anyone that knows me will know that I have what I would like to call an eclectic personality, meaning I don't really pick favorites of anything.  With so many options out there in cowboys, in books and movies and music why would I want to settle my obsessions with just one?  So I thought instead I'd talk about my life-long cowboy fetish.

I can't remember a time in my life where I didn't love cowboys.  My parents were big western fans so more often than not if the tv was on a cowboy was crossing the screen.  The most iconic and memorable of which I'd have to say was of course John Wayne.  I don't think anyone can think of television and movie cowboys without the name John Wayne crossing their minds.  And if they can then their old western movie education is sorely lacking and they should be sat down in front of an old John Wayne film immediately.

Now this wasn't where the Western obsession ended in my household because my Dad's favorite writer was none other than the iconic Louis L'Amour who was actually the first writer of cowboy stories who I read.

Lots of people who don't read Westerns have the wrong idea about Louie, they think slow paced, lots of description, fairly boring or written for men.  So NOT TRUE!  Sure the classic western appeals to more men than women but while I can't say I'm a traditional western fan,  I haven't ever read a Louie novel that I didn't like.  Now my Dad was one of those readers who bought books wherever rummage sales, bookstores, flea markets, read them and passed them on, except with his Louie's he always kept those and when he passed, they passed to me. And while I did share some with my Uncle after I found the Sackett series in a five volume hardcover, I still have a lot of them.  Since I'm sort of a hardcover stickler, they're actually some of the few paperbacks in my physical book collection.  Most of the time unless it's signed, if I can't get it in hardcover, I buy it in ebook.

A Very Grey Christmas Blog Tour Excerpt & Giveaway!

I'm really excited to be participating in the A Very Grey Christmas by T. A. Foster Blog Tour, organized by InkSlingerPR. I've got the pleasure of sharing an except from the book and a giveaway as a part of the tour.

About the Book

I was getting ready to spend the single most important holiday of the year alone. Completely and utterly alone.
That meant he wouldn’t be there Christmas Eve. No making Christmas cookies, or listening to my dad sing off-key while my mom bustled around wrapping last-minute gifts. No decorating the tree. No midnight Christmas kiss.
No waking up in Grey’s arms. We were actually going to spend our very first Christmas in different states.
That was until Grey gave me the most unexpected gift of my life.

How A Star Falls by Amber Stokes $50 Book Blast!

How a Star Falls by Amber Stokes

How a Star Falls

How does a star fall?

Quickly. Completely. Unexpectedly.

Derrick Knolane escapes to Trinidad Head most evenings, avoiding his apartment and planning for the day he'll break free of Humboldt County. Working in a music store might be fine for a while, but it's far from the goal he had in mind when he got his college degree. Not to mention the fact that his roommate is a jerk and his family won't stop trying to run his life.

Then Brielle falls into his world.

She claims to be a star. Not from Hollywood, but from heaven. He thinks she's crazy. Certainly delusional. Yet, he can't just leave her alone on the cliffs. So he takes her home.

And his whole world falls apart.

A heartfelt and fanciful contemporary romance novella, How a Star Falls explores the uncertain season of new adulthood and shows that sometimes the worst inconveniences make for the best miracles of all.

Compelling Reads Tour @ Quail Ridge Books, Nov 1

So I'm way behind on posting, but it's because of this AMAZING tour stop.  Seven authors and we brought along four kids I don't think it's any surprise that we took A LOT of photos.  I mean I always take a lot of photos as these events, I'm not a natural photographer and I expect a lot of my photos to be out of focus and my husband has of late picked up my habits of taking tons of photos with the expectations that many will not turn out.  At this event between us we took over 800 photos.  Now my camera does this wonderful thing with indoor lighting, it makes everything look yellow.  So every photo that I take indoors has to be taken into my photo-editor and the color balance adjusted or everyone looks like they have jaundice and dental issues which isn't the case for most of the people I photograph and it definitely isn't the case with the awesome authors we saw as a part of The Compelling Reads Tour.  Now a lot of the photos I took were as expected out of focus and many of them were of the children so I don't have quite 800 to share with you today, but I do have a lot and I'll do my best to talk about the great tour stop but I really should have done my write up before I started the photos because my memory for details is awful.  I don't believe I will possibly do this event justice and describe to you just how wonderful it was to meet these authors.

The event stop was hosted at Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh, North Carolina which was a very nice Indie Store that hosts many Author Events.  I had this great picture from the drive to the signing but it didn't turn out and I really wish I could have shared it even though it was totally unrelated because we followed this person in one of those civilian wanna-be military style vehicles and the stickers on the back about being the Zombie Patrol which I thought was super funny.  And I thought it was just a good sign for the day as weird as that might be.  I thought it was cool and deserved to be mentioned.

The Quail Ridge Books stop of The Compelling Reads Tour, organized by Martina Boone, included authors Martina Boone, Claudia Gray, Beth Revis, Kimberley Griffiths Little, S. E. Green, Meagan Spooner and Megan Shepherd.  So there was a ton of talent inside that store all at once which was really awesome.  A tour stop as big as that one requires a lot of set up and being camera happy that day I took a few photos of that set up.

Martina Boone was born in Prague and spoke several languages before learning English. She fell in love with words and never stopped delighting in them.

She's the founder of AdventuresInYAPublishing.com, a Writer's Digest 101 Best Websites for Writers site, and YASeriesInsiders.com, a site devoted to encouraging literacy and all this YA Series.

From her home in Virginia, where she lives with her husband, children, and Auggie the wonder dog, she enjoys writing contemporary fantasy set in the kinds of magical places she'd love to visit. When she isn't writing, she's addicted to travel, horses, skiing, chocolate flavored tea, and anything with Nutella on it.

If you like romance dripping with mystery, mayhem, Spanish moss, and a bit of magic, she hopes you'll look forward to meeting Barrie, Eight, Cassie, Pru, Seven and the other characters of Watson Island.

You can find Martina online at her website, Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, and Amazon.

Exchange of Fire Book Blast!

Today we're having a book blast for Exchange of Fire by P.A. DePaul. I'm super excited about this blast. We'll be revealing a deleted scene from Exchange of Fire and it's on sale right now as well!! Enjoy and make sure you enter P.A.'s giveaway!!

Deleted Scene: Introduction from the Author:

Exchange of Fire’s gone through quite a few changes since I typed the first draft. Some of them major. This scene was one of the first ones to be changed. As I wrote it, the story line started shifting to be more about Cappy and his wound then about an assassin coming after Wraith by invading Grady’s home. Not good and too much time was being wasted trying to bring it back on track. As I brainstormed, I realized this scene could be so much more suspenseful and really dive into both Grady and Wraith’s personal storylines if I didn’t include Cappy and shifted Mars outside, trying to pick them off. Ultimately, this one scene developed into multiple chapters of high action and personal suspense (Chapters 39-41 to be exact). Hope you enjoy a peek at an earlier version!

Exclusive Alternative Scene:

Grady crouched and squeezed off two shots down the hall to give Cappy a chance to find cover. Suddenly, the C.O. gripped his left side, toppled over, and pull himself behind the couch, leaving behind a grisly trail of blood.

 Shit!

Grady whipped his head over to make sure Sandra was still with him. She wasn’t. Sonofabitch. He peered around the edge of the fireplace acting as a patrician between the living and dining rooms, and his heart stopped. She crept along the perimeter of the room, ducking behind chairs toward Cappy. Her whole body was silhouetted by the light coming in from the floor-to-ceiling windows that comprised the back wall of the living room. She was a Goddamn moving target.

Hart Attack Release Day Blitz

hartattack-releaseday

We're so thrilled for the release of HART ATTACK by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cristin Harber! Roman and Beth's sexy and explosive story is not to be missed!

CristinHarber_HartAttack_1400px  About HART ATTACK

Outside of Titan Group, there are few people that Roman Hart would die for. He’s a soldier, a protector, and he’s haunted that one of the people he should’ve been able to protect didn’t let him. That was years ago, and now a hardened heart and a cocky attitude are his impenetrable shields, until one woman—one challenge—drives him to distraction.

On the outside, Beth Tourne has it all. Luxury car, gorgeous condo, and a job partying with the rich and famous. It’s a plush CIA cover, but she wants more. Anything for an adrenaline rush that can override her guilty numbness and let her forget the tragedy she never saw coming.

Their scars make them perfect operatives. Their mirrored pasts give them deep, wounded reasons to stay alone. But the more they ignore the tension, the more vulnerable they become. Survival means trust. In one another, behind closed doors, and on the job. The only way they’re making it out alive is if they find peace while waging a war.

Flurry by Tony Bertauski $25 Release Day Blitz

We're celebrating the RELEASE of
Flury: Journey of a Snowman
By Tony Bertauski

An Introduction to Flury

     Frosty had a magic hat.
There was no explanation, just a special hat that turned a pile of snow into a walking, talking best friend. Flury is more than that. And doesn’t smoke.
Born on the North Pole, Flury was created by an ancient race of elven that evolved during the Ice Age and continues to live in the polar ice today. Technologically advanced, they sustain themselves with innovation and wisdom. But even the most peaceful settlements encounter danger, such as polar bears. That’s why they invented abominables.
     What we call snowmen.
The life of an abominable doesn’t magically spring from a top hat. The heart of an abominable is a metal orb—an intricately carved sphere that generates an electromagnetic field and builds a body of snow around it. Abominables are intimidating and selfless. They run, they fly. Above all else, they protect.
In the late 1800s, Malcolm Toye was part of an arctic voyage that ended in disaster. The survivors of the expedition never saw him again. Malcolm had wandered into the snowy landscape to be saved by a patrolling abominable he would come to know as Flury.
His rescue, however, became more of a curse than a blessing when the elven refused to allow him safe passage back home, insisting they remain secret from humanity. Malcolm was destined to live out his days among the elven, pining for home.
     Longing for his wife.
Malcolm escaped by stealing the metal orb of Flury. Quietly, he arrived back in the United States to settle down and resume a normal life. But there was nothing normal about it. As the years went by, his estate becomes shrouded in mystery and rumors.
A hundred years will go by before the mystery is solved.
Oliver Toye, a teenage type 1 diabetic, will discover the magic hidden on his grandmother’s property. He’ll read about Malcolm Toye’s journey when he finds a set of leather bound journals. He’ll see the snowman trapped on the property, and the other things that haunt the forest. Most importantly, he’ll uncover Malcolm Toye’s master plan to harm others. And why he wants to.
Flury will come to Oliver’s rescue more than once.
